Mt. Sterling Cheese Cooperative foundered in 1976, is one of this country’s largest goat milk co-ops offering international award winning cheese. www.buygoatcheese.com Westby Cooperative Creamery is farmer-owned which means that more than 100 farmers who supply milk to the creamery own the company. The creamery was created in 1903 making it one of the oldest cheese factories in the state. Working with nature is what inspired our original seven farmers to form an organic farming cooperative in 1988.
